I was born in Lisbon, Portugal. It was here in Europe where my uncle introduced me to fishing at the age of six.

My family moved to the United States when I was 11. There was a five acre pond next too the home that my parents built in Taunton where I spent most of my free time fishing. Let's admit it, I was hooked at a young age.

As I progressed into my late teens and early twenties I started yearning for more than one fishing rod and a small pond. One morning while driving to school I saw bass boats on a ramp preparing for a tournament. These guys had trucks and boats that I could only imagine running. At that moment I promised myself that one day I would join them.

After graduating from college with a Bachelors Degree in Electronics, I started working two jobs; one as a control manager, the second as a bar bouncer––completely different working environments–– but two years later I purchased my first boat.

After 14 years of several positions in the engineering field––Electronics Engineer, Process Engineer, Manufacturing Manager, Operation Manager––I found myself desiring a new challenge.


A friend that I met while fishing offered me a position as a sales manager at his graphics business. Within three years I increased the company's sales by 45% in the New England area by developing marketing material such as PowerPoint presentation, mailers, promotional give-aways and an account database to monitor monthly sales quotas for new and existing accounts. From this company I moved to Webster printing where I continue to work as a sales representative and had quoted over 4 million dollars in 2007. I keep myself extremely busy with work and tournaments but set aside time to do some of many other things that I enjoy.


I am extremely passionate, energitic, and devoted to my friends, family and to my work. And, I do consider fishing work. Part of this dedication is particpating in fundraisers including Planet- Aid, Jimmy Fund and TeamBass-USA.

TeamBass is an organization that provides funds to local children's hospitals. To be a leader at anything you must achieve results with people and never at the expense of people. I fully intend to continue pursuing my dreams of fishing professionally and be a leader in the sport.
